This is the story of the Nathaniel Center. More than a building, it is a gift and a blessing back to the Kingwood community from Paul and Dr. Victoria Sarvadi.
Paul Sarvadi is one of the founders of Insperity. Born of an idea sketched on a napkin in a Kingwood coffee shop, the company, Insperity, grew to be one of the top professional employer organizations in the nation today.
With the fruits of that success, the Sarvadi’s formed The Nathaniel Foundation with the mission of building a better community by promoting the arts, education, business, and family.
The Nathaniel Center is one of the many projects that The Nathaniel Foundation has created.
The Center is available to the public to rent for the celebrations of life: weddings, birthdays, graduations, and life memorials.
It fosters education and strong business by hosting seminars, conferences, and training sessions as well as being home to the Kingwood Chamber of Commerce.
It fosters an appreciation for the arts by bringing world class performances into the heart of Kingwood. The theatre, created by designers of Broadway sound stages, features performance groups such as Opera Leggera and Curtain Call Cafe, which are partially underwritten by the Nathaniel Foundation. Other local performing groups such as Kingwood Pops and Centre Stage call The Nathaniel Center home as well.
The mission and focus of the Nathaniel Center can be encapsulated in the words of St. Paul:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
